OCC Vikings Men's Tennis HC Stan Friedman Announces Retirement

Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Vikings Men's Tennis Head Coach Stan Friedman has announced his retirement from the team, effective June 12. Friedman, who coached OCC Men's Tennis for 11 years, released the following statement:

"I have coached both the Men's and Women's Tennis teams at Ocean County College for 11 years, and the same teams at Ocean Township High School for 40 years before that. Over those 51 years of coaching, my teams have won 1041 matches and lost 432. I feel blessed to have coached Ocean's men's team for those 11 years. The student-athletes have had to be dedicated, working hard in the classroom and on the courts. To juggle classwork, practice, and job schedules is no easy feat. Their dedication has made my coaching experience pleasurable and something that I will never forget."

OCC Athletics wishes to thank Coach Friedman for his many years of dedicated service to the Men's Tennis program. Friedman will continue to coach Ocean's Women's Tennis team, who will return to the court in September to begin their fall 2017 season.
