Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Basketball (1-6) battled local conference rival Brookdale Community College mightily through the first half on Tuesday (12/11) before the Jersey Blues pulled away in the second, topping Ocean by a 108-80 final score.
Vikings sophomore Sean O'Donnell continued his strong play with a 24 point, 7 rebound performance in a matchup marked by Brookdale's ability to exploit Ocean's defensive weaknesses. Vikings freshman Anthony Petit-Clair scored 18 points and added 5 rebounds in the loss. "We ran out of steam in the second half and allowed Brookdake to get to the basket too easily," recounted OCC Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "We need to be an all-around better defensive team. That will be our main area of focus going forward."
The Vikings will seek their second win of the season on Thursday, December 13th, when they travel to Rowan College at Gloucester County for a 7 p.m. GSAC tip-off against the Roadrunners.
