The Vikings have suffered a bumpy start in their first season of this game. They're still getting used to playing with each other, and at the midpoint of the season have yet to secure a win. However, the team has made small improvements each week and is hopeful to make a mid-season push to get some wins on the board.
SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE

Conner Zaccagna won 3-0 against Northeastern Oklahoma Community College
Nick Trindle (BYE)

Jackson French won versus SUNY Corning Community College
Kyle Ruppert lost 0-3 to Tallahassee Community College
Justin Ritter won 3-0 against Bryant Stranton College
The Vikings have endured some growing pains in their new Esports titles this season, but they have put together a pretty impressive SSBU program. Conner Zaccagna improved to 3-1 for the season, while Justin Ritter and Kenny Piscopo both evened up their season records at 2-2. Jackson French, Nick Trindle, and Peter Dos Santos remained unbeaten. A few of the other Vikings had Bye weeks, and Kyle Ruppert lost his highlighted match of the week on the official NJCAA esports Twitch channel. Kyle is primarily an FPS player, but he does whatever he can to help grow the Esports program at OCC.

The Vikings are midway through the season and are 1-2 in Overwatch play. "For the team games, it takes some time to build chemistry with their teammates," remarked OCC Esports Head Coach John Ruhl. "It's been a learning experience, but they are building the foundation that will lead to victories in the future. Midway through the season, they are still alive for the playoffs. The next few games will be important for the Vikings to try and enter the postseason."
OCC Esports returns to action on Mondays at 6pm and 8pm for Call of Duty and Rocket League, on Wednesdays at 6pm and 7pm in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Hearthstone play, and on Fridays for Overwatch. Catch all the action live via the team's official Twitch channel.
