Jackson French Remains Undefeated as Esports Advances in NJCAAE Playoffs
Toms River, NJ - OCC Esports began their Super Smash Bros. Ultimate postseason on Tuesday (Nov. 30), and split their matches, with Conner Zaccagna falling to Bryant Stratton Community College, 3-0, and Jackson French winning against Hinds Community College by the same 3-0 margin. "Conner had a great first season, ending with an 8-2 record," recounted OCC Esports Head Coach John Ruhl. "He ran into some stiff competition with an experienced Terry player. Conner's a freshman who will continue to improve."
French posted an undefeated Smash season straight through to the playoffs last season, and has duplicated the feat again in his second campaign. "Jackson is even better than he was last year," stated Coach Ruhl. "He had some early slip-ups tonight, but still came back and secured the win. Jackson's hoping to finish what he started last season and win a championship."
Jackson resumes postseason play on Wednesday, December 1 at 7 P.M. Catch the action live via OCC Esports' Twitch channel, available here.
