OCC Baseball's Coach McRae Wins 700th Game
Toms River, NJ - Congratulations to Ocean County College Baseball Head Coach Ed McRae, who earned the 700th win of his collegiate career on April 10, when the Vikings defeated Atlantic Cape CC, 15-3. A lifelong student of the sport of baseball, Coach McRae played for Wall Township H.S. and Gardner-Webb University and was drafted professionally by the Pittsburgh Pirates and Kansas City Royals before embarking on a coaching career that began at USMA (West Point) Prep School in 1976, followed by Middlesex College in 1982, and finally Ocean County College, where he has served as Head Coach since 2012.
"I didn't get to 700 wins, or anywhere for that matter, without great student-athletes and assistant coaches that I could rely on," reflected McRae. "Thank you to everyone who've helped me along the way to a milestone like this. I'm proud of all of us, and we're not finished yet!"
