Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Basketball lost their season opener on the road, in an 83-68 final at Camden County College.
Ocean sophomore guards Jamari Smith and Myles Marabuto set the pace for the Vikings, with Smith contributing a team-leading 18 points and 7 rebounds, while Marabuto scored 14 and pulled down 4 defensive boards. OCC freshman guard AJ Lemons pulled 4 steals to go with his 12-point, 5-rebound night, an impressive debut for the Pemberton Township grad.
"Tough loss in a very physical game," reflected OCC Men's Basketball Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "A lot of positives, but too many negatives. We'll definitely learn from the mistakes and get back to work to correct them."
OCC Men's Basketball next travels to Passaic County CC on Tuesday, November 11 for a 7pm tip-off versus the Panthers.
