Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Basketball won their second straight game in dominant fashion, defeating the visiting Lions of Community College of Philadelphia, 96-86 on Saturday (11/22).
OCC sophomore guard Jamari Smith (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat H.S.) continued to showcase his skilled play in all facets of the game, earning a triple-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and a team-leading (and personal best) 10 assists in a game that the Vikings led by over 20 points for a majority of. Sophomore guard Kai Barckley (Pine Beach, NJ/Toms River South H.S.) made the most of his 23 minutes in this contest, scoring 15, while Aiden Sosinov (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan H.S.) and James Gibbons (Jackson, NJ/Donovan Catholic H.S.) scored 18 points each. Myles Marabuto (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Township H.S.) was lights-out from a distance, with the sophomore guard scoring 12 points from three-point land on 4-for-4 shooting, and 14 points overall.
The Vikings will next return to the court on Tuesday, December 2, when they travel to Atlantic Cape CC for a 7pm matchup.
