Men's Basketball Snaps 4-Game Skid in 80-62 Win Versus Sussex CCC
Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Basketball snapped a 4-game skid with authority on Monday (2/9), defeating Sussex County CC by an 80-62 final score.
After a bit of back and forth early in the contest, the Vikings built out a double-digit lead and rarely looked back, taking a 15-point lead into the half, and largely settling into a 20-point differential through most of the final 20 minutes. OCC guard Aiden Sosinov (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan H.S.) double-doubled tonight, with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals, while Jamari Smith (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat H.S.) contributed 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals, the sophomore guard offering another display of his skill in every aspect of the game. Addditionally, freshman guard Mason Krey (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat H.S.) returned to double-digit scoring for the first time in 11 games, with an 11-point night tonight.
The Vikings improve to 14-11 overall, and will next travel to Brookdale CC this Thursday, February 12 for a 7pm tip-off.
