Truszkowski Scores 2 as Vikings Rout Lehigh Carbon, 6-1

Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Soccer sophomore team captain AJ Truszkowski scored twice in the first 4 minutes of play on Saturday (10/7) in an Ocean 6-1 victory at Lehigh Carbon Community College. The win elevated the Vikings to an overall record of 7-1-2. Truszkowski's 1st goal came just under a minute into play, when he dispossessed a Cougar defender and buried a shot to the lower-right of the keeper from just outside the box. AJ's 2nd goal occurred just 3 minutes later (assisted by freshman Jayson Nardone) to give the Vikings an early 2-0 lead, one which held for the duration. Ocean sophomores Danny Lindov and Mattia Assante each added a goal and an assist in a match that Ocean was firmly in control of, from whistle to handshake. OCC sophomore Dawson Kaniuk made 5 stops on the day, including a saved penalty kick.

The Vikings return to action on Monday, October 9, when they host the Spartans of Northampton Community College in 4 P.M. Region 19 play.
