Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Basketball (5-16) concluded their 2025-26 season on the road on Thursday (2/12), falling to the host Jersey Blues of Brookdale CC (11-11), 81-44.

Ocean's Brooke Schmidt (Lacey, NJ/Lacey Township H.S.) and Lola Darcy (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Boro H.S.) each scored 16 points, with Darcy pulling down 7 rebounds and firing off 5 assists, and Schmidt 10 rebounds in the loss. OCC sophomore Tatiana Hernandez (Farmingdale, NJ/Howell H.S.) secured 8 rebounds and 6 points in her third game back from an injury that saw her miss the majority of the season, and freshman D'Anna Capriotti (Tuckerton, NJ/Pinelands Regional H.S.), who averaged 9.3 rebounds per game this season, continued to control the action in the paint, bringing in 10 boards tonight.

The Vikings that ended their season tonight bore scant resemblance to the one who opened the season. Improved in all aspects, on both ends of the court, Ocean will look to continue to be a team on the rise next season.
