Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Soccer opened their 2022-23 season with an impressive home victory against the Blue Colts of Middlesex College on Saturday (9/10).
Ocean freshman midfielder Jessica Smith was an offensive force, assisting on 2 goals and scoring 1 in a match that saw the Vikings consistently managing to maintain possession and press their offense into the Colts' half of the pitch.
"Overall, a great starting point for the Vikings," remarked OCC Women's Soccer Head Coach Breeana Cassidy. "We created a ton of offensive opportunities from all angles of the field. Each player contributed to the team victory. Juliana Rettino stood out in particular as a playmaker against the Colts."
The Vikings return to action on Tuesday, September 13, when they welcome RCSJ Cumberland to campus for a 4:30 P.M. matchup.
