OCC Women's Volleyball Ends Regular Season with 3-0 Win at Brookdale CC

Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball concluded their 2024 regular season in dominant fashion, defeating Brookdale CC, 3-0, on Monday night (10/21). The win marked Ocean's 10th of the season, and 9th shutout.

After a tight first set that Ocean pulled a 25-23 win out of, the team locked in through the next two, dominating Brookdale 25-8 in set 2, before securing the win with a 25-11 final set. 

OCC freshman right side hitter Tara Charland posted her highest-scoring match of the season, with an 11-point, 6-kill night, while sophomore middle hitter Jordan Motyka blasted the Jersey Blues with 12 points and 10 kills.

"Great communication, particularly in our last two sets," remarked OCC Women's Volleyball Head Coach Alexis Whitney. "Jordan was fantastic tonight on both offense and defense."

The Vikings finish the season with an overall record of 10-7, with postseason seeding and scheduling information to be decided.
