Women's Volleyball Falls to Brookdale CC in R19 Championship Final, 3-2

Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball's fantastic 2025 season came to a close on Saturday (11/1), with the Vikings falling in 5 sets to Brookdale CC, 3-2, in the final round of the NJCAA Region 19 Championship tournament.

With these two teams competing through 5 sets in their prior meeting this season, today's match was presumed to be a battle, and it was a war for every point, with Ocean falling in the opening set, 25-22 before bouncing back to take the 2nd and 3rd sets with 25-21 and 25-14 scores before Brookdale caught up in the 4th, 25-23, and ultimately closing the door in the 5th, with a 15-9 final.

Ocean's duo of 2025 All-Region 19 Team members Bryn Hagen and Macayla Lindner delivered the blistering performances they'd delivered throughout the regular season, with Hagen scoring 21 points with 21 kills and 14 digs, and Lindner dropping 19 points, 14 kills, and 22 digs in the tough loss. Viking freshmen Isabella Hoffman (11 points, 9 kills) and Ashlee Kuhl (11.5 points, 7 kills) gave all they had as the Region rivals took this match to the very end. 

OCC Women's Volleyball finishes their 2025 campaign with a regular/postseason record of 12-3.
