Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Soccer secured their 8th win of the season in a 1-0 shutout of the visiting Buccaneers of Atlantic Cape CC on Thursday (10/9).
The Vikings controlled the tempo of this match from the outset, pressing into Bucs territory and peppering goalkeeper Johnathan Alicea with 10 shots over the course of 90 minutes, while allowing just 3 to reach OCC netminder (and current GSAC and NJCAA Goalkeeper of the Week) Justin Perrin. Ocean sophomore midfielder Adal Garcia broke the stalemate in the 37th minute, converting a pass from Chase Norling to put the Vikings up by 1, a score that would ultimately decide the match.
The Vikings improve to 8-1-2 overall, and will play their next 3 matches on the road, beginning with Delaware County CC on Saturday, October 11 at 12pm.
