Toms River, NJ - Ocean CC Men's Soccer continued their impressive run of play to start the 2025 season, with a 2-0 shutout of the visiting Brookdale CC Jersey Blues on Tuesday (9/23). The Vikings are now unbeaten through 6 matches, with an overall record of 4-0-2.
This was a fast paced, aggressive matchup largely controlled by Ocean, who employed a sustained attack from the outset. Sophomore Julian Marfino struck first, depositing the Vikings' first goal into the back of the net in the 7th minute (assisted by Josh Brazier), with the eventual game winner remaining the sole goal of the match until Adal Garcia pushed through an insurance tally in the 32nd minute (assisted by Patrick Schlagenhaft), locking in Ocean's 4th win of the year. Goalkeeper Justin Perrin was impenetrable, holding off Brookdale with 6 saves on the day.
OCC Men's Soccer, currently ranked 1st in Region 19, will next host RCSJ Cumberland this Thursday, September 25 at 4pm.
