Vikings Men's Volleyball Takes Down Middlesex College, 3-1
Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Volleyball elevated to an overall record of 4-2 following a 3-1 win against the visiting Colts of Middlesex College on Wednesday (3/11).
The Vikings drove this matchup from the outset, establishing a 2-set lead with a minor 3rd set setback from the Colts before finishing them off in set 4.
Ocean sophomore Jimmy Baxes (Forked River, NJ/Lacey Township H.S.) pounded Middlesex, with the outside hitter contributing 17 points and 17 kills, while freshman Giedruis Makselis (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial H.S.) dominated with 14 points, 13 kills, and 9 digs. Alexander Piwnica (Toms River, NJ/Manchester H.S.) secured 14 digs, and Shaun Mihovch (Seaside Park, NJ/Howell H.S.) scored 10 points in the easy win.
The Vikings will next travel to Atlantic Cape CC on Saturday, March 14 for a 12pm match versus the Buccaneers.
